Laiza Reconco is a 16 year old Oakland resident who is passionate, reliable, and kind. She joined USC because of their mission and the work they were doing. She wanted to be involved in educating her community on an issue that impacts so much youth. USC has given her the opportunity to learn more about Opioid Substance Abuse Disorder and its relevance to youth. She’s interested in homelessness and substance abuse as well as its impacts on youth and BIPOC communities. The work they are doing in the community and the progress they have made, especially within the Kickback With the Youth event excites her the most.
