JOCELYN GAMA
Jocelyn Gama is a UC Berkeley student with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Education and Global Poverty and Practice. Three words to describe her are do-er, Omni gypsy, and hyphy creative. Being a Latina woman from Oakland allows Jocelyn to use her experience as a tool to apply to society and decolonize the mind of youth. Representing Oakland through mentorship and leadership positions gives Jocelyn an opportunity to use her dual role to influence younger generations to believe people of color are capable of holding space and being their agents of change. Oakland is such a unique and healing place for humanity and where components of revolution begin. She cares about healing communities, education and policy reform, and ethical representation in political and social institutions. She is excited to be able to build morale and valuable relationships with our communities, youth, families, and representatives for the collective liberation of everyone.
