
Teri Carlyle
Director of Finance and Operations
Teri Carlyle, our Director of Finance and Operations, has worked for Urban Strategies since 2009. She has more than 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Teri grew up in Vallejo and has been dedicated to helping her community since high school. Earning a degree in Accounting from California State University, East Bay, she has worked for multiple community-based organizations, providing fiscal and financial services, auditing services, as well as teaching financial literacy.
An advocate of financial literacy in the youngest members of her community, she teaches through local churches, community groups, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Her work has led many of these groups to financial prosperity. Teri enjoys planning community conversations for the African American community. In her spare time, Teri gives back to the communities by distributing tents, hygiene kits, and meals to the Unhoused, and delivering groceries to Senior citizens and families suffering from food security. Teri lives by the motto “It’s a Blessing to be a Blessing!” She is a member of the Black Alzheimer’s Association Advisory Council.
