Poverty fundamentally is a structural economic imbalance. USC’s long-term vision/goal is to increase individual, family, and community economic stability and success. USC works to address economic equity by:

  • Bringing an economic justice lens to every planning and strategy discussion.

  • Identifying the multiple impacts and barriers to economic success.
Focusing on workforce development, housing, asset building.

  • Providing job-readiness, per-employment, and career development programming for opportunity youth (young people 16-30 years old who are out-of-school and/or out-of-work).
