Community Participatory Action Research (CPAR)
Community Participatory Action Research (CPAR) is an applied research approach that involves all stakeholders in the entire process. USC develops and supports community-directed research that focuses on supporting strategic action that leads to community transformation and social change. Beginning with the identification of community issues, CPAR centers community members in identifying the goals, who and how to sample residents, evaluating the process, and defining the intervention.
