Frank Ortiz (they/them) is a Research Associate and mixed-methods scholar/practitioner.  Frank has experience in research facilitation with new learners, equity-based data collection tools/methodology, and training to tailor findings/tools to diverse audiences. Frank began their career in research as a first-generation student with little to no experience, but through peer training and education, was able to gain the necessary skills to further explore their research interest around access to basic needs, social identities, and their effects on self-reported health outcomes.  They are currently pursuing a Masters Degree of Public Health at UC Berkeley.
