DATA, RESEARCH & EVALUATION

Urban Strategies Council's unique approach to research and evaluation distinguishes us from other organizations in the field. Our success in these areas is firmly grounded in the trust we have established within the communities we engage with and in our relationships with funders and partners.

Our work in data and research serves as a cornerstone for supporting our partners and stakeholders. It equips us to challenge the status quo and eliminate obstacles to opportunities for communities of color in the Bay Area and beyond. We primarily focus our research on critical areas such as housing, education, health, policing, and violence prevention. Funding for our initiatives typically originates from city, county, or state governments, with additional support coming from private and family foundations. Furthermore, our Research and Evaluation Department provides assistance to Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) that require enhanced internal data capabilities and those seeking external evaluators for their projects.
