Ashley Cajina is 20 years old.  Three words that best describe her are resilient, charismatic and dedicated. Ashley joined the Elevate Youth Fellowship because she wants to see a change in the community, especially  that focused on bettering the experiences among youth. Growing up in Vallejo she was able to see the flaws with the school system and have always wanted to give back. EYC is providing insight on what it means to be a leader and how to move forward with program planning. Ashley is passionate about mental health awareness, social justice reform and affordable housing. She is mostly excited to connect with the youth on a personal level. She believes that it is important to let young people know from the start that they have a voice and that it matters. Once we are able to create a dialogue, change is bound to happen.
