Amber Buchanan is the Executive Assistant to the CEO and HR Administrator for Urban Strategies. In this role, they provide administrative support for the CEO and address the HR needs of the organization to ensure a compliant, productive workplace as well as a welcoming and inclusive culture where employees can thrive as they pursue the goals of Urban Strategies Council.
Amber holds an MBA from Western Governors University and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern State University. Amber has over 20 years of experience as an administrator and extensive experience working with non-profits in a variety of capacities from serving on boards to providing administrative services to volunteer work.
Amber is an American Mensa Chapter and National Organization of Women member. Their passions are rooted in social justice as well as racial and gender equity projects. In their spare time, Amber is a musician, mixed media/ digital artist, and music photographer.
