Alameda County Violence Prevention Data Work Group
As a part of its work with the Alameda County Violence Prevention Initiative, the Council has convened a data work group to pull together all of the public agencies at the county and municipal levels as well as community based organizations, university staff and other and individuals in the county engaged in research and data analyses on violence to coordinate data collection, analysis and sharing activities in order to support planning, decision making and assessment of violence prevention activities in the county. Participants include the Public Health Department, Social Services Agency, Probation Department, Inter-Agency Children's Policy Council, the City of Oakland, InfoOakland. Initially, the group is focusing its efforts on data related to three of the ten target areas of violence including murders, child abuse and teen violence.
