XII. Twenty-Year Oakland Homicide Trends

·        The level of homicides in Oakland in 2004 and 2005 remained at a low level. In both years, about 21 homicides were committed per 100,000 Oakland residents, which is significantly lower than the 20-year average of 29.27.

·        In 1992, Oakland homicides reached a peak of 43.5 homicides per 100,000 residents.
