X. Police Service Areas Where Incidents Occurred

·        In 2005, more than one in four homicides (29.8%) occurred in Police Serve Area (PSA) 5. A substantial proportion of homicides also occurred in PSA 1 (18.1 %), PSA 4 (16.0%) and PSA 6 (17%).

·        From 2004 to 2005, homicides increased most drastically in PSA 2 (228%), though the total count remains small (2 to 7).  More significantly, homicides in PSA 5 increased by 64% (from a count of 16 to 28).
