*Caution: Percent of Known Victims and Suspects only includes cases known. For example, in 2005 only 51 of 94 suspects were unknown, which means 46% of suspects have been identified for whom parole/probation status could be determined. Also in 2004 52% of the suspects were known and in 2003 47% of the suspects were known.
Note: The total percent of victims on parole and/or probation cannot be added to the total percent of suspects on parole and/or probation to determine the total percent of homicides that involved parolees and/or probationers. To simply add those percentages would assume there were no homicides in which both the suspect and victim were on parole and/or probation.
