II. Gender of Victims and Suspects

·        More than eight out of ten homicide victims were males in each of the three years.

·        The percent of female victims decreased by 53.8 % between 2004 and 2005 and by 64.7% over the three-year period..

·        In 2005, 94% of suspects were identified as male while only 2 % were identified as female.

·        Because there were no unknown suspects in 2003, and 12% of cases in 2004 and 19% of cases in 2005 were unknown, no longitudinal analysis was conducted for Suspect Gender.
