IX. City Council Districts Where Incidents Occurred

·        In 2003, 41% of homicides occurred in District 6 (20.2%) and District 7 (21.1%).  This total increased to 47% in 2004, but again dropped back to 41% in 2005.

·        The largest increase from 2005 to 2005 was in District 6 from 13% to 21%, though 21% is consistent with historic norms.

·        Between 2004 and 2005 every district experienced an increase in the number of yearly homicides, with the exceptions of District 3 and District 7.
