Notes
1. WHO WE ARE
We each represent a strategy for reaching and engaging residents. Members of this work group at this point are: The San Antonio Unity - Dayna Davis and Don Davenport
KQED- Making Connections Media Outreach Initiative (MCMOI) - Sonya Shah
The Small Grants Program - Sandra Chapin
EastSide Cultural Center - Elena Serrano & Susanne Takehara
Karen Stevenson is represented as a consultant to liaison with the making Connections communications strategies.
2. JUSTIFICATION FOR US COMING TOGETHER AS A NEW WORKGROUP
We agreed that it was important to have better coordination between LSA Collaborative work and the residents of the San Antonio . The members of this workgroup all represent vehicles that can help facilitate communication exchange.
3. WORKPLANS FOR 2005
We decided to focus on three activities to be accomplished in 2005:
- A defined identity for the LSA Collaborative and a suite of outreach materials designed
- A common database developed
- Planned events to be held at the EastSide Cultural Center that involved local residents and community organizing groups.
Elena agreed to develop a draft workplan for these activities (attached) We agreed that a this point there are already workplans developed for the Unity, small grants and MCMOI. These plans should be submitted to Deb and the Joint Committee for further review. The plan for the future is for us to develop workplans together as a unified workgroup.
