Agenda Review

Resident Participation

  • How have residents been engaged in Lower San Antonio generally and in the work of collaborative members?
  • What are the expectations and ideas of the planning committee and Casey for further resident engagement?

Connecting to Opportunities

  • How can the collaborative work with and shape the connections that Casey has already made to local resources? (e.g. Matrix, Teams, etc.)
  • How can the collaborative become more involved in identifying and pursuing opportunities for connecting the neighborhood to local resources? Which members of the collaborative are available to work on this?
  • How are decisions made regarding which opportunities to pursue?

Resource Allocation

  • How do collaborative members, residents or other neighborhood stakeholders make requests for funds from Casey?
  • How are members of the collaborative and the neighborhood informed of which groups have received support?
  • What is the role of the collaborative in making decisions about how funds are allocated?

Coordinator Position

  • Is it a good idea to create a part-time position for neighborhood resident to work with Urban Strategies Council and to learn the coordinating work?
  • Should this person be hired to provide a learning opportunity for a resident or with the idea that the person would become a full-time coordinator down the road?
  • If a person is hired, what are the budget implications down the road of a full-time coordinator position? Is a position the way people would like to see the funds used?
