23rd Avenue Corridor Action Team

The 23rd Avenue work group is focused on the revitalization of the 23rd Avenue Corridor and has centered their efforts on four main program areas: housing and economic development; education; arts and culture; and a community newspaper. To read more about the 23rd Avenue Corridor Revitalization project, click here.

In 2005, the 23rd Avenue team published the Action Plan, a community-driven blueprint for revitalizing the 23rd Avenue commercial district in Oakland’s Lower San Antonio.  It was the product of two years of community workshops, research and planning, sponsored by the Collaborative’s 23rd Avenue Workgroup, facilitated by Urban Ecology, and attended by over 250 Oakland residents and merchants.
